Aurora Crash Death, Speeding Accident – Driver Killed After Car Hits Pole and Tree in Aurora, Colorado
A man has died following a single-vehicle crash late Friday night in Aurora, Colorado, according to the Aurora Police Department.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 11500 block of East Yale Avenue. Investigators say the driver, who has not yet been identified, was traveling eastbound in a Chevrolet Camaro at a high rate of speed when the vehicle veered off the roadway.
Police report that the car struck a light pole before crashing into a tree. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses traveling in the same direction told authorities they observed the Camaro passing them at a “very high” speed shortly before the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have not released additional details at this time.
